About the Artist
Hi, my name is Meredith Warren and like most young girls I was born horse crazy. I started collecting model horses when I was very young and later got into model horse showing. I have recently gotten back into the model horse hobby.
I am a self taught artist and I work mainly in oil paints. I do use other mediums as well, including Earth Pigments, pastels, air brush, acrylics and pencils. My goal is create beautiful models that capture the beauty of the horse. I work very hard to make each piece as realistic as possible. My work is Live Show proven with many of my pieces winning classes, NAN cards in breed and workmanship, winning sections championships and winning division championships. I've also had models place at NAN. I work on various sized models, from the micro sized to the traditional size pieces. I have paint Breyer Horses, Stone Model Horses, Artist Resins and CollectA Models. Besides working on model horses I also enjoy painting, jewelry making and stained glass. I really love watercolor painting and pastels. I do also paint using oils and acrylics. I still love watching Bob Ross and have gained a lot of inspiration from him as well as other artists. Why the name? I credit that to my rescued Domestic Short Hair Cat. And yes, she is black. She has taught me so much about love, life and most of all myself. She is my constant companion while I work on projects and must always insert her opinion. I hope you have enjoyed my web site.
