Commissions
Commission books are currently FULL.
I am looking to have openings again in August 2025. They will be done via a submission process and I will be selecting the pieces that most inspire me. My preference is fully professionally prepped models and solid colors.
The announcement will most likely come out early spring 2025 for the submissions.
Thank you!

Model horses are a hobby for me and I enjoy painting when I can. My prices and policies are listed below and please be sure to read the entire page.
***Prepping***
Due to health reasons, I am very limited by the amount of prep work that I can do and therefore my strong preference is for fully professionally prepped models.
**Please also note, I will not strip any model. I'm sensitive to the chemicals and can not use them**
***Also please note, I do not take 3D prints in any size for commissions***
Please be advised that extra prepping fees can occur if the model is not properly prepped and up to my standards before I paint the model. Or the model may be returned to the owner and the owner is responsible for shipping costs.
**Please note I do not do repairs or touch ups on any model that I haven't painted.**
It is difficult to match another artist's work, therefore I suggest you contact the original finish artist.
**Prices DO NOT include shipping and will be based on exact postage**
I prefer to ship USPS and will only ship with full insurance and it is up to the the client to pay all shipping costs and I will only ship to a continental US address.

Painting information-
All paint jobs start with a well prepped horse which has been prepped and primed. I then airbrush a base coat. Once that is complete I use oil paints to create a life like paint coat on the horse. I finish with earth pigments, pastels, acrylics and pencils depending on the effect or pattern desired. I use only the highest quality paints and materials.
It takes time to build up each layer of paint and it takes time for models to properly dry between coats and finishes. If one layer isn’t properly done, the next will not work. I take my time with each piece giving it the personal attention and effort it deserves. Quality work takes time. Generally turn around time is 4-6 months, but varies depending on size and paint color. I do my very best to have a smooth and flawless finish as possible. I pride myself on my workmanship and my models can attest to this as they have received many awards for workmanship. Each model also receives painted on chestnuts, multi colored hooves, multi colored eyes, multiple layers of high quality sealer as well as glossed eyes.
Solid colors-includes painting only
This includes all solid colors-bay, black, brown, buckskin, dun, grullas, palomino, chestnut, white and other dilutes without dapples of any kind. Dapples on solid color horses will be extra.
This does not include shipping and is extra and exact.
Price does include a basic going over of a final sanding to make sure it is up to my standards before painting. **If the model hasn't been prepped properly additional fees will be charged.**
Painting Prices for Solid colors Paint work only-

Please note that Little Bit scale refers to modes measuring about 4" to withers like the Breyer Little Bit size, Peter Stone Pebbles and Curio Cabinet size models.
Stablemate scale refers to models about 3" tall or less about 1/32nd scale.
***I am happy to prep and paint any size medallion so long as it is a first quality cast. Each medallion is priced based on the size of the piece and coat color**
I do paint other colors and they are additional and will be quoted based on the color/pattern picked.
**Price does not include shipping**
***All pieces are a one of a kind creation. I will not duplicate another artist’s work. Photos are welcome as inspiration and a road map, but I make no guarantee to copy photos hair for hair, I am not a human copy machine. My work is Live Show Quality and has won and continues to place and win at shows. However, I make no guarantees that the piece you commissioned or purchased will be a winner. Live shows are subject to many considerations. ***
**Shipping is NOT included in the price and will be due before item is shipped.**
All pieces will be shipped USPS priority with the correct insurance. Items will be bubble wrapped and packed in shipping peanuts with extra packing material. I do wrap the model in a paint safe fabric before bubble wrapping to prevent damage. Please note at this time I do not ship out of the US due to high costs of shipping and I can't guarantee the arrival of the model due to certain countries policies.
Base price for shipping is based on exact costs. All models valued at over $500 will also come with a signature conformation.
You will need to supply the model and the cost of shipping the model to me is up to you. Please note I am not responsible for the condition the model is received in. I suggest packing the model very well and getting the correct insurance. All claims will be handled by the shipper.
If you are under 18 years of age, the transactions must be approved by your parent or legal guardian.
Before starting a project:
1) I must have the model in hand.
2) I must have received a 30% non-refundable deposit. If you need to work out a different payment plan, please be sure to ask in advance and we can work out the details before starting the project.
3) I have a clearly defined paint color and markings and we have agreed upon colors and cost.
4) I have acknowledgement from the owner stating that they have reviewed my polices, agree to them and understand them. Once a model has started being painted, it is difficult to change colors. This means an extra charge because more work.
5) I have checked your references if I do not know you.
6) We will have an agreed upon cost and payment plan in place. If the owner is paying in payments, we will have a clear time line for payments. As always if you miss payments or fail to pay in full by the agreed upon deadline you will forfeit the payments made and the model.
I will keep the owner posted as to the progress of the piece. I do not like to send progression photos as there are many steps involved and the piece often doesn’t come to life until completion.
I know there are a lot of polices and information on this page, but it is in order to make things as clear as possible for the client and myself as the artist. Over time issues have occurred and therefore I find myself writing more polices to hopefully prevent further issues.
At the time of completion of the model I will notify the owner and send photos of the finished horse. I do my best to get close up and accurate photos of the model for the owner to look over. This is the chance for you to make sure the model is painted to our agreed upon color and markings. If you have any questions or concerns they should be addressed at this point. I strive to make each piece a work of art and I want the owner to be happy with their new model. Then the owner has 30 days to pay the balance in full. I make every effort to stay in contact with the owner along the way and keep the owner updated. If the balance is not paid in full by the end of the 30 days, the owner will forfeit the deposit and model. I then maintain the right to sell the model to recoup my costs for painting the piece, or I reserve the right to keep it and show the model becoming its new owner. I understand life happens and things come up, but I also need to be paid for my time and work. If at anytime you have questions/concerns please contact me. I do my best to answer emails and questions in a timely manner. For other information regarding shipping and polices, please read my polices page.
